Alluring Characteristics of Ekiti that will leverage this project 

1, Manageable population size of 3.5 million requiring about 220 modules of our health personnel to scale up universal health coverage to cover the whole state. One Module of health personnel is responsible for primary health care needs of 16,000-20,000 people.  

2, Strong PHC structures exist for collaborative working. Collaboration with the government will allow medical doctors to visit MHA Clinics as outreach duties. And allow some Basic Health Centres to accommodate our RuralMind spoke facilities.

3, High literacy and civic engagement making the people receptive to public campaign for community contributory health insurance campaigns. 

4, Ekiti people would be proud of the visibility of this programme being conducted in the state. One traditional king has expressed that pride to us.

5, Ekiti people are known to generously rise up to support financial campaigns for health needs of their townsmen.

6. Many citizens of the state are in the diaspora and do remit money to their  kith and kin back at home for healthcare and general maintenance. Our mutual health approach provides a cost-effective mechanism to achieve their purpose.

7. Ekiti State Ministry of Health is committed to universal health coverage with which the pilot programme would easily align.

8, Ekiti State Primary Health Care Development Agency is very active in the state.

9, National Health Insurance Authority is conspicuous in encouraging health insurance enrollment in the state, particularly the community model, through Mutual Health Associations, that we have chosen to focus on.

10. Ekiti traditional anthem emphasises cooperativism for progress. 

11, Many citizens of Ekiti State already participate in cooperative contributions in one form or the other, but currently not for health gains.

12. Ekiti has a large population of people in rural areas who would benefit from neighbourhood RuralMind AI clinics near their places of abode.
